Surreal Still Life with Flowers and Rabbit

I leaned a dead hare against a vase of dying flowers. I was going for that old still-life painting look, but I wanted to mess with it a little. I was thinking about how life and death, or plenty and empty, or pretty and rotting, the flowers are slowly joining the hare. I wasn’t trying to tell a story. I just wanted to sit in that in-between spot, where some things are growing and other things are already gone.
